We're baking a Pineapple Upside-down Cake!

Don't miss our free Zoom cookery class on Sunday 28th February!

Class starts at 09:30am GMT/05:30pm Singapore.

Here's your shopping list for the class:

  • 150g unsalted butter

  • 100g golden caster sugar

  • 50g light soft brown sugar (you can use one type of brown sugar)

  • 100g self-raising flour (or gluten-free self-raising)

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • 2 medium-large eggs

  • A large tin of pineapple slices/rings in juice

  • A good handful of glacé cherries

  • (Optional treat: vanilla ice cream!)

You'll also need these bits of equipment:

  • A 20cm round cake tin

  • Mixing bowls and spoons

  • An electric mixer or whisk

So, how does this work?


Any time till 9AM GMT on Saturday the 27th of February

You can sign up for this class on our Google Form any time before the closing date. You will receive an automatic Google email confirming that you have signed up as soon as you submit.


Saturday 27th February, 12PM GMT

You will receive a full email with us, containing the recipe card, Zoom link, and tips and pointers.

Morning of Sunday 27th February

Prepare all of your ingredients and get ready to join us!
